Stay true to everything
Hello Vietnam!
I'm still taking care of some stuff that may be bothersome or worrying, but hopefully when I come over next week I will be healthy and able to do proper sightseeing and enjoy great food.
What is important is we stick with the facts. South Korea is big in Vietnam, and I know Lotte and Samsung personally. They have some concerns, but it is not about Vietnam so to speak. I do not expect a meal can do it all, but it is a friendly gesture and acknowledgement of past "cooperation" so to speak. If they have any new projects for Vietnam, I will not take any part in it but would be very happy about it of course. As for Japan, they are also invested in Vietnam and any future investment or projects they intend to push forward in the country will be at their own discretion.
Of course, the USA do have manufacturing business in Vietnam and a bit of everything else. Sometimes it is not just about the money, it is what both parties find interesting and the objectives of the collaboration. As well, regulations may play a role in FDI. And real estate may not be an very interesting thing to go forward.
For others, it may be new to them (like Canadians, British, Europeans etc) and that is good because they can get to know the place and determine what they may find exciting to work on. Trade relationship is the simplest form if they don't want to get too hands on, and I cannot represent them or speak for them. Everybody is smart enough to make their own judgment.
So the sticky part PRC, I will "buy" it so that the groups I targeted so to speak will get to think and figure their own things out. There will be certain things I will decide when I come over, but I expect the trip to be fairly standard with a bit of flexibility on the food.
Hopefully this post takes care of it all. I am very happy to come over, and if Vietnam needs anything else I'm sure I will be notified.
All the best!
