Get it done, with all concerns, risks and uncertainty factored in.
Covid has been taking too long. And I’m sure it’s everywhere to stay. But I would tell you I am not too worried about the illness but rather the fundamental “meaning” behind the virus. Unfortunately, there isn’t really a viable and sound solution to resolve it, but I can contain it and find some remedy so that we don’t get stuck in time and get nothing done.
When quarantine hotel requirements are eliminated and cost related to COVID (antigen test/face mask/ disinfectants etc) kept at a minimum, this journey will be planned and if possible within the next two months. Depending on the flight status, I may have to tweak for a short stay in Seoul before heading to Busan, but not a must.
So it’s important to address the opposing opinions and voices.
This is NOT a trip about compensation for failed businesses and faltered business relations established in the past. In the business world, things do work out and things don’t, it’s normal. When it’s not working as expected, we restructure and regroup. It’s not a “cash dump” or universal cash distribution, that’s totally BS. It’s just travel, exploring and reviewing, so to speak.
So Yoona Lim as the travel ambassador invited me to make a visit to South Korea, I’m going to sign those paper and marry in a few days? Okay, going there doesn’t mean or entail anything other than travelling as a tourist. Of course, I may meet up with people that I have never met before, just like when you travel everywhere in the world, it’s no different. And I’m expecting to make some new friends and ready to talk. No things can be rushed, it has to be done properly. Particularly when it’s important.
Travelling there has huge ramifications for Shanghai and Macau? That’s completely overblown. Anyone can do a FDI in South Korea, as long as the opportunity presents itself. And vice versa, South Koreans can do FDI in places where they believe is suitable. It doesn’t run through me at all. So IM the deciding factor is a myth. Are you suggesting all corporate elites are “dumbass” and need me go to work? If that’s the case, they should pay me “billions” instead of the executives.
Hey, it’s not their fault you can’t do politics. It’s just feel good to able to vote, to debate and to make decisions and allowing for peaceful regime change. And I value these principles and values seriously. But they can’t be responsible for it. That’s too much to ask for. So we have to be fair.
To those naysayer, we just have to face it and confront it, good or bad so to speak.
So you see, anyone can travel.
